Glamour Doughnuts anyone?

I've been a very bad Lyuba today. Why you might ask? See, I got myself a doughnut! As we all know, Glamour Magazine is celebrating their 10th anniversary, but little did I know (until I read about it in the magazine) is that Krispy Kreme created a special Glamour Glaze doughnuts. So I've read about it, and promptly forgot because I don't buy doughnuts and I sure don't go to any Krispy Kreme places in UK... because I don't know where they are located lol.

Of course I completely forgot that our own base gets Krispy Kreme and stopping by today I saw those for sale! So I had to get me one of those. :) :) Isn't it pretty and sparkly? Did I mention the SPARKLES?

Maybe it's silly to be so excited about a sparkling doughnut, but I feel like going around screaming I GOT ME A SPARKLING DOUGHNUT! IT SPARKLES JUST LIKE TWILIGHT!

It tasted pretty good too, the glaze that is. Doughnut was just ok lol.

REVIEW: Simple Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream

Here is what I say: 
For a little over £5 you get 50ml of product in a sleek looking jar. Being a budget buyer, I love the price for the amount of product I get. Plus a lot of time it is on offer from Boots and Superdrug. I've been using it since December and I just now reached half the jar, so it lasts for a nice long time. The cream is a standard white color, and although the packaging says that there is no perfumes, I can detect a slight fresh smell. I only smell it when I bring the jar close to my nose, and never when I apply the cream. 

One of my main requirements for a facial cream is how easily it absorbs into my skin. I can't stand the oily, greasy feeling that some creams leave on my face after applying. If the cream doesn't absorb fast enough, it will get put away to never be used again or given away to someone who has drier skin than me. I am happy to say that I don't have that problem with Simple Vitamin Night Cream. Actually let me rephrase it, I did have a small problem with it but it was my own fault. I was applying too much, hence it wasn't absorbing fast enough. Now that I figured out how much cream to apply, I don't have that problem anymore.

My only (small) gripe is the packaging. Don't get me wrong, I love the look of jars and pots but I become less impressed when it comes time to using them. The reason why I don't like jars and pots is because I have long nails, and it becomes really hard to get the cream out without getting any cream UNDER my nails, one of my biggest pet peeves. So in order to solve that problem, I scoop up the cream with the top of my nail (just like in the picture) and this way it doesn't get under nails. SCORE!

I use one 'scoop' on each of my cheeks, one on the forehead and about 2-3 on my neck. This amount works for me, and absorbs within 5 minutes leaving my skin oh so soft and smooth! Since starting using it, I haven't had any irritation or reaction, but I have to mention that my skin rarely gets reactions to anything.

I would definitely recommend this night cream, and I will repurchase once it's gone. And before I leave UK, I will stock up on this and other Simple goodness :)

Random EOTD

Hello Ladies,

While I go through highs and lows on my postings, I generally take photos of my makeup looks almost every day. Here are two looks that I've found on my camera from few weeks ago.

The first look is what I call "reverse Ukrainian flag". I always forget which color goes on top (shame on me), so I accidentally reversed it in my look :( I used Sleek's SUNSET palette for it.

The second look is the fastest smoky eye look that I've done, ever! I used Wet N Wild Perfect Pair Eye Wand in 110 Black-Slate. I originally bought this because I needed a black eyeliner, but decided to try this because it has both black eyeliner and gorgeous silver cream eyeshadow. I paid $2.99 for it at BX, but it could cost more in regular stores.

The eyeliner part is very creamy and glides on wonderfully. I used it on waterline too and it didn't irritate my eyes at all (but I have to mention that my eyes rarely get irritated by products).

I first apply the eyeliner part on both top and bottom, then smudge it with the silver eyeshadow. At this time, most of black gets rubbed off so I go over with eyeliner again. If needed, I go over with silver again to blend. I also don't cover my whole lid with the eyeshadow, because I'm afraid that it will transfer to brow area. This way it doesn't smudge, crease or transfer but I think it works for me because I have a large eyelid area. I'm not sure it will work for those who don't have much of an eyelid showing.

You can see here very well that I don't apply it to my whole eyelid, but once I open my eyes it gives an illusion of whole eyelid being covered.

GOSH Long Lasting Eye Liners, Lip Markers and Brow Pens

So today I went to Bury St. Edmunds with a purpose in my heart, to buy the newest Sleek palette. Little did I know that I actually forgot my wallet at home!!!!!! How stupid is that? Luckily I had enough change to get me some Starbucks, otherwise I would have been huffing and puffing and driving home angry. With my Starbucks in hand I went on to Superdrug to check out the new stuff. 


I honestly wasn't that impressed with Sleek's Avoir La Peche collection, mostly because the majority of shades are matte. But I will buy it anyways, because I'm a huge Sleek palettes fan and I have to have them ALL. After swatching Sleek's Avoir La Peche collection to my heart contents, I turned around to my #2 favorite Superdrug makeup brand, GOSH. They had a lot of new and cool stuff and I amused myself with swatches while wishing that I didn't forget my stupid wallet at home! :( 

I figured that since I can't buy anything, I'll instead come home, photograph my hand and tell you all about these stuff! 


First we have GOSH Long Lasting Lip Markers. For some reason I could not find them on Superdrug website, nor on GOSH website.... I believe they were £5.99 although here they are listed for £6.99. 

Aren't they pretty? I am very tempted to get Red, Berry and Chocolate. I believe all GOSH cosmetics is currently on offer 3 for 2. The bottom two shades are Max Factor Lip Tints new shades. I don't remember their names, nor do I think I would recognize them if I found the names online. 

I also swatched  all of the Long Lasting Eye Liners, but again I couldn't find any on the websites. GetGawjus actually posted a picture of one of them, and also said that those will not be released till April.... so maybe that's why. However, they are present in my Superdrug, so they could be present in yours too! 

Correction: Black Brass and not Black Blronze

I could't remember the names of middle two shades, but I'm sure they are called Purple and possibly Bronze. The rest I'm pretty confident in. I actually thing that these photos look better than some of the colors in real life, namely Green and Navy Blue. I stared and stared at Green but it looks so like Grey to me. Turquoise is not as bright as I would have preferred. If I decided to buy any, I think I'll get Black Brass, Grey, and two nameless shades. .

Green, Black Bronze and Grey strike me as glitter eye liners, because of how much shimmer they have. Obviously I haven't tried them on, but I think you would have to put several coats on to get a nice opaque but glittery look. You can see in some of these photos how much sparkles they have :) 

The last product, and the one I'm possibly the most excited about are Long Lasting Brow Pens. I never tried anything like that before, and I'm very anxious to try them! I think I'll start off with Wheat and see how that works first before buying any other colors. They are also £5.99.

Another attempt at Flapper makeup

Hello Everyone,

I'm sure all of you already heard about the Japanese tragedy that is unfolding right as we speak. I don't have any relatives in Japan, but I do have some friends and a deep care for the country. That said, I did manage to pull myself together to put some makeup on today. Remember my post on attempting to do a Flapper makeup look? Today I tried it again and I'm much happier with the results.

I deliberately left my eyebrows bare, because I wanted the emphasis to be on the eye makeup.

I realize that photos in my kitchen are not the most glamorous, but that was the place with the best lightening.

My husband didn't like the makeup at all lol. He said I have raccoon eyes and look like female version of Marylin Manson. Yes, I still love him because he actually takes time to comment on my makeup and most importantly NOTICES it :)

I wanted more matte finish on my cheeks, while being bold and bright. I had to tone it down a lot because at first I applied too much. After toning down with powder, I applied a little bit more .

Although this photo is blurry, I love it. The wind hit just at the right moment.
