Last One for I'm Getting Sunburned

Hello Funky Readers,

I'm glad that this is the last one, because honestly I'm getting tired of I'm Getting Sunburned. Oh I still love it, but I'm ready for something new!

This time, instead of applying dark shade on the outside I applied it inside. I must say, it came out... interesting. Maybe I took it too close to the bridge of my nose, or maybe I'm just too critical of myself.

I love this photo because you can see my reflection! :)

Sorry.... NOT about a lot of photos. :)

I find it really cool that this brown shade looks grey when paired up with pink. Yet with the gold, it looks properly brown.

On my lips I'm using Gosh Long Lasting Lip Marker in Berry and Gosh On Stage Cool Lip Jam. Told you I love it! :)

Which palette do you think I should use next?

Are You Getting Tired of I'm Getting Sunburned Yet?

Hello Lovely Readers,

I could, I really could just make one post out of all 7 looks for my 7 day palette challenge, but I can't bring myself to do it. I like showing photos, and for that I need a separate post for every look. I hope you can forgive me. :)

This time I also used all 3 shades, with the darkest one being just an accent.

Now check out how good Posietint looks on me :) I'm in LUV with it.

I am also in love with the combination I have on my lips, Gosh Long Lasting Lip Marker in Berry and Gosh On Stage Cool Lip Jam. I even wore it 2 days in a row, and I see myself wearing it again and again when I want a bright statement lip.

What do you think? Have you tried any of the stuff I used?

June Empties

Hello my Funky Readers,

I don't have a lot of empties this month, so here are is my measly amount of empties.

1. Simple Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream - full review here, for all you noisy bunch, but I can tell you that although I absolutely love it I won't be repurchasing it.... because I found something better! Also by Simple. I think I'll do a full review on it in the next couple of weeks or so.

2. bareMinerals Well-Cared For Brush Conditioning Shampoo - I don't really know what to say about it. It cleans, it cleans my brushes well, but at £8 for tiny 120ml it's a little too expensive for me, as I use a good amount to clean my brushes. I'll just stick with baby shampoo from now on, if it's gentle enough for a baby butt it is sure gentle enough for any brushes in my opinion.

3. Bourjois Express Eye Makeup Remover - you can read all about how much I love it here. I will be buying again, once I go through some other stuff I got. And definitely will be stocking up on it before I live UK.

4. Botanics Purifying Face Scrub for Normal/Oily Skin - it was too gentle for me, to the point of not even feeling like it was doing anything so I won't be buying it again. But I think for those of you with sensitive skin, it might be good.

Let me know what you finished this month, I love reading posts like that.

My Husband Called Me a Clown FOTD

Hello lovely Funky Readers,

Actually he didn't really call me a clown, but when he was visibly searching for a word I kindly supplied him with "clown". Of course that was exactly the word he was looking for. I have to say, my Mr. Funky is just too wonderful, he actually has an OPINION about my make up and will let me know if he likes it or not!

At this point you shouldn't be surprised that I've used I'm Getting Sunburn palette. I had fun with it and went for something not-so-usual this time, although I am not all that happy with the end result. Oh well, I had fun and I stood out, and that's all that counts right?

Something is missing, something to bring all the elements together, but I am not sure what it is. I decided that I'll try and figure out when (and if) I attempt this look again.

What do you think? Is there any potential in this look?

FOTD Fail?

What do you do if you applied your makeup and it didn't turn out exactly how you planned? This happens to me reasonably often, in which case I either don't take photos....., or take a second look, decide that it looks good enough (because I sure don't have time to fix anything) and then tell everyone that I intended for it to look that way.

Today's look is an example of such situation. Or it is an example of situation when no matter how many photos I took, they didn't turn out. Regardless, here is my I-totally-meant-for-it-to-look-this-way look.

Face:
  • Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Serum Primer.
  • Covergirl NatureLuze Foundation in 310 Flax.
  • Maybelline FitMe Concealer in 15 Fair.
  • Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in Transparent.
  • NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in Auburn/Red - used lighter one.
  • Benefit Posietint as a blush.
Eyes:
  • URBAN DECAY Primer Potion in Eden.
  • Wet n Wild I'm Getting Sunburned - pink on the lid, crease shade on lover lid.
  • Covergirl LashBlast Fusion Mascara in Black.
Lips:
  • Tarte Rise&Shine lipgloss only in Nude.

What do you think?
