I Can't Get Enough of I'm Getting Sunburned FOTD

Hello my Funky Readers,

I hope you don't mind me calling you that, but I think it's very appropriate. :) What do you think?

Just like the title says, I simply can't get enough of Wet n Wild I'm Getting Sunburned palette. You've seen me do a look with it here and here, and I've also done couple more that I didn't take photos of... did I really just admit that? Whoooops! :P

The look for today is a variation of the one you've seen me post last, I've liked it so much that I decided to try it with pink instead of gold.

So far I like this one the most out of all I did, not sure if it's the color choice or the shape..... In my gold one, the shape didn't exactly turn out how I usually like them (more rounded). I think this look is a prime example that practice makes perfect!

What do you think of this look? I saw on one of the blogs I follow a 7 day palette project where you take a palette that you don't show enough love and use it for 7 days straight, and then post the looks. I think I want to do something like this too and I'm Getting Sunburned will be my first project :) So far I have 3 looks down, 4 more to go! Stay tuned for what else I can come up with :) Maybe my looks will inspire you to do something, and if yes I would love to see!

GlossyBox Meh............

Today I finally got my first ever GlossyBox.... and I can't tell you how disappointed I am. Now I am probably overly grumpy for whatever reason, and maybe I just make it more of a deal than what it really is... So this is what I got:

And this is what I have a problem with:
Batiste? SERIOUSLY?! Ok, so I love Batiste and will buy it over and over again, but when did Batiste became a luxury item? I don't buy a lot (read: almost never) of luxury beauty stuff because I simply can't afford them, so I was hoping GlossyBox will let me try some stuff I wouldn't otherwise try. But Batiste? I buy that stuff on monthly basis, and I buy a lot of it! And I know I shouldn't expect much for the cheap price, but if I am promised luxury/high-end stuff, shouldn't I get them?

And here is the 'theme' of June GlossyBox:
GET SUMMER READY~ 5 Summer Essentials

Eh, I could probably go on and on complaining about my GlossyBox, but I won't. I don't think what I got in it constitutes as 'summer essentials' but maybe it's just the old picky me. Some of you might disagree and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but after seeing what was included in May's box, I feel very disappointed with June's picks. :( I was really hoping for a face makeup item... :( :(

I HATED the smell of the perfume, but that's hardly GlossyBox's fault, they have no way of knowing my favorite scents. I like the shower gel and I'm looking forward to using it. I also look forward to using BioEffect, that is DEFINITELY something I will never be able to afford otherwise. OPI nail polish is meh too, but only because I'm not much of a polish person. Again, not their fault. So this box is not completely 'bad', but overall I'm disappointed.

I might give it a go for another month to see if I like anything, but as the things look right now, I most likely will cancel the service. Oh, and I'm PRETTY sure I filled out the beauty profile but I can't find it again on their site. Why do they hide it, why?!

Have you gotten your GlossyBox this month? What do you think? Are you happy with it, or disappointed like I am?

I'm Taking Part in Garnier UltraLift Challenge

Hello Funky Readers,

Not long ago I saw a post on one of the blogs I follow about Garnier UltraLift Challenge and I've figured I'd give it a go. I have to admit that I AM one of those people who doesn't believe in wrinkle reducing claims, but at the same time I'm not opposed to trying new stuff. Who knows, maybe I would be proven wrong right?

So all you have to do is go to that website, fill out your details and then wait for your samples to come in. Then use UltraLift for 14 days straight instead of your usual anti-wrinkle cream, and once you've finished go back to that website and tell them the results. Simple right?

As you can see, I signed up and got my free samples :) (There is also a page for US, but I don't see any way to get the samples on there... maybe because I'm in UK and it's not showing? )

You get a nice little box full of sample packets plus a coupon if you decide to buy UltraLift at the end. You also get the Wrinkle Rater, but I didn't bother with it and you'll see why shortly.

Here are my Day 1 photos. As you can see, I don't have that many wrinkles. You are also probably wondering why do I want to use this product, and the answer is because I'm hoping it will reduce the appearance of those annoying under-my-lower-lid lines! I hate them and they drive me crazy because EVERY SINGLE concealer I use settles into those lines! GRRR!!!

One packet is enough to apply to my eye area (liberally, to extra make sure it will work ) as well as my face & neck.

Tag, Tag, 33 Questions Tag

Hello Ladies,

Lately I've been on a tag kick. Must be my deep desire about talking about myself poking through. I saw this tag over at When Life Hands You Lipstick, and lovely Esther tagged anyone who wants to do it. Originally this tag was called 32 Questions Tag, but she counted them and there are 33. So I refuse to call it 32 Questions lol, and instead I will singlehandedly rename it to 33 Questions Tag!

Is it cute when guys kiss you on your forehead? As long as it's my husband, the rest of guys can stay away. Oh and my dad of course, but he usually kisses me on my cheeks.
A big poofy dress or a short party dress? I wore the ultimate puffy dress to my wedding, so since I got it out of my system I prefer short party dresses now. In red :)
Are diamonds a girl's best friend? Nope. I don't really care for a diamonds. I wear 17 of them on my finger though but only because my husband didn't want to order a custom made engagement/wedding ring from my jewelry teacher. How dare he? Maybe one day I'll get it, and without any diamonds.
Is your hair up or down today? Down, because it's short and there is no way I can put it up!
Do you straighten your hair? Yes, few times during the month when I don't feel lazy. Honestly, it is straight naturally so there is not much to straighten.
Favorite mascara? The one that makes my lashes look dark, long, full, and not clumped. I like No7 Exceptional Definition, but lately I've been using Covergirl LashBlast Fusion.
Do you get your nails done? Yes.. I used to, up until last week. See, I got my nails done with Kylua Gel Nails (I might be spelling it wrong), and loved it. Natural, doesn't damage my nails, lasts forever. Unfortunately it looks like I've become one of those rare 2% of people (according to my friend who does my nails) who can't wear gel nails because gel doesn't stick. For past 2 times I got them done, gel popped off in less than a week. I'm devastated, but there is nothing I can do :(
Small or large purses? Large! Preferably Harajuku Lovers.
Jeans or sweats? OMG you will NEVER, EVER catch me in sweats. I don't even own any!!!! They just look so sloppy, I can't stand it. So Jeans all the way!
Do you wear clothes/shoes/jewelry that's uncomfortable? Yeah.... because my motto "beauty requires sacrifices" makes me do it. But I don't do it too often, as I don't want to mess up my feet and also don't want to hurt myself. For clothes, I wear kimono all the time. I'm so used to it now, that I feel comfortable in them most of the time. :)
Do you text message a lot? Yes, I HATE calling. Texting is my preferred way of communication.
Whats your favorite color? Red. And browns.
Heels or flats? Heels, although I'm very conscious of how damaging they are to our feet. I try to wear them only some days during the week, and most of the time I wear kitten heels or flats. I think kitten heels are a fair compromise (probably still damaging....)
Would you ever leave the house without makeup on? Yes, do it at least once a week. Because I believe I'm fabulous even without makeup :). And every time I do, and try to buy alcohol I get carded. Guess no makeup makes me look younger? ;P I even had one cashier guy tell me "You know you HAVE TO BE 18 to buy alcohol?".
Walmart or Target? Waitrose or Sainsbury. I miss Walmart AND Target though.
Do you think lip gloss is the best!? I'm not much into wearing lip products period.
Do you own any big sunglasses? Nope. Maybe one day I'll get off my lazy behind and get me prescription sunglasses, then I'll own some.
How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? 2 hours, that includes waking up, having coffee and breakfast, makeup, getting dressed and having a dose of internet before going out.
Gold or silver? Silver. I can work with silver and make jewelry. :)
Do you like to wear dresses? Yes, nice bright cotton summery dresses!
In the last 48 hours have you hung out with a guy? My husband :)
Do you like to hold hands? Oh YES!
What do you notice when you first meet a guy? His eyes.
Do you like making eye contact? Yup, especially if someone stares at me, I'll stare right back at them!
Would you kill for chocolate? Erm... NO.
On a scale from 1-10 how fun is shopping? Depends on what I shop for. Most of the times it's 10, but then I got to BQ (or Home Depot) and it turns into -10.
Do you yell a lot? No. One time I yelled at my husband when I was upset, and it felt so liberating. I should do it more often.
Do you wear sweatpants/pajamas to school/work? OH HELL NO!
Have you ever dressed unlike yourself to impress a guy? Not that I can remember.
What makeup could you not live without? Really, I could live without all makeup but I think the items I should NOT live without are mascara, eyebrow powder and under eye concealer.
Do you fall in love easily? I get obsessive crushes easily, usually when I meet new people. It doesn't happen as often now that I'm married and I don't meet many people lol, but it used to be that I'll be obsessed with someone for a couple of days to couple of weeks, but then the feeling will be gone and I'm back to normal. And no, I didn't stalk them lol. I would just talk to that person, trying to learn about them, and once I get my 'fill', I move on.
Do you have cramps? I'm one of the lucky ones that get very slight cramps on the first day, one Motrin and I'm golden.
Do you think you have the bestest friend ever? I have bestest friends. Not all of them live near me, but even so I know they still will be there for me no matter what.

Different Look with I'm Getting Sunburned

I've been so impressed with this trio that I couldn't help myself but do another look. I was feeling particularly dramatic for some reason, so I went dark. Extra dark!

I only used two shades, lid and crease. I still can't believe just how pigmented the lid shade is!!!!

On the cheeks I used Benetint from Glamour magazine, but since I've never used cheek tint before I went extra light. Extra extra light with some Highbeam as highlighter. I'm really surprised how wearable it is, considering it looks so dark in the bottle.
